Well we didn't get buckets of snow, but we did get enough to close school-which in TN isn't saying much:)
Here you never now how much snow will come or how long it will stick around so when it does happen you better get right out in it and play, and that is exactly what we did-in the Dark!!
The kids loved it and it was worth the numb fingers I got while out snapping pics of them playing.

So the next day there was no school and what's the plan? well playing in the snow of course! Like I said we never know when it's coming again! So even if it was only about 1 1/2 inches we were playing.
This time we dressed a little better for the occasion.
Then we came in for some hot chocolate and a warm breakfast, yep we played before we ate! The rest of the day was spent being lazy and watching some of the snow melt.

I love the snow pictures...so cute.
Kids playing in the snow and those rosy cheeks and happy smiles...love it!
You got a snow day for 1 1/2 inches?! Lol. You crazy southerners. That's a dusting! ;)
It takes about a foot and a lot of ice before they'll cancel in Nebraska.
Visiting from MamaKat's writers workshop posts...
Good for you for being a good mom and taking advantage of the snow while it was there!
that sounds like an awesome way to enjoy a snow day, in the snow!
I want snow!!
Love the pictures. I'm jealous because I'm only about 30 miles from you and the snow didn't stick here. Of course the schools were out, but it wasn't enough to keep me from going to work. I just want one really good snow day that I can refuse to go to work!
