Finally-Our trip to Gatlinburg

Last week was Wyatt's spring break from school so we headed east to the mountains. Shane and I have been there MANY times over the years and just happens to be the place that we got engaged WAY back in '99. We took the kids last year for spring break and they had a blast so we decided to go again.

We got there Sunday and headed straight for the water park. We had found an indoor one and decided to try it out.


The kids had a blast, Wyatt loved the big water slide and even though the heater was broken on it and the water was FREEZING he went down about 15 times along with daddy cause mommy only made it down the FREEZING water slide once. Abby and I enjoyed hanging out in the warm water.

We stayed for a few hours and all was great til Abby bumped her head and it was time to wrap it up and head back to the hotel.


We played putt putt and let me tell ya my girl may have a future in putt putt cause the girl play.

OK so they weren't in the wild-those bears are still in their winter slumber and haven't decided to come out to play yet.

We had a great time and were lucky to have nice weather, we even had a picnic while in Cades Cove.


and we ate lots and lots of junk food



This just happens to be marshmallows on a stick then dipped in chocolate!

We stopped at the Knoxville Zoo on the way home since we could get in for free with our local zoo membership. We saw lions, tigers and bears OH MY-sorry I couldn't resist. There were also lots of other good animals and the kids really enjoyed it and it was nice to break the drive home up.

But this had to be my most favorite animal of all

he was just so awesome and wise looking he also really seemed to like Abby and just stared at her-I am not sure if he just likes pretty little girls or if he was thinking he could easily eat her as a small meal:)

And then there was this little guy,

OMG I could have just wrapped him up and brought him home he was so dang cute!

All in all it was a fun trip and was fun to spend some QT with my family and mainly it got us out of town for a change in scenery. I am over the cold weather and being locked up inside all day and am ready to move on to nice warm sunny days that include baseball and trips to the beach!

Ok so I promised a post and I am working on it. It is just I have had my hands full with the kiddos and that throws my whole morning blogging routine off. I just uploaded 146 pics to my computer from my camera-Oh yea I am crazy with that thing.

So until I can get the big post done here is a little something.

We have some good friends who got married in Nov. they had a small ceremony so no one was invited. This weekend they had a little get together at their house.

Oh and just to prove my children never seem to grow Abby wore this same outfit when she was 12mths old-all I did was move the buttons on the top and the pants were capris instead.

Then today we got all crafty and decorated an Easter tree-oh yea an Easter tree.

Don't you just love the bunny-I did that and yes I am proud! and did you noticed it started indoors but finished outdoors? That's because glitter was involved and I am NOT about to have a pound of tiny glitter poured all over my new wood floor-they are pretty without being sparkly.

No I haven't fallen off the face of the world

But I have been in Spring Break land:)

Wyatt's Spring Break is this week so we took a little trip to spend some QT together. More on that later

I have lots of posts to read and by lots I mean over 50 so if I don't share some comment love don't feel bad I still love you.

I have Tons of pics to upload so that I can share all the fun times we had.

I am also coming up on my ONE YEAR anniversary of being a part of this wonderful bloggy world. What should I do? I know most do giveaways, but what would I giveaway? hmmmm maybe I should do some looking into it.

Anyways I will be back with more details. But not sure if it will be today seeing that I am in control of 4 yes 4 children! Wyatt is on the Wii, Abby and the girl are playing playdough behind me and the baby is sleeping and have I ever mentioned how much I love a sleeping baby? one-they are quiet and happy and two-OMG they are just so dang cute. So it may be tonight

Writer's Workshop Thursday

Ok so here's the deal: Go to Mama Kat's get your assignment and turn it into her and the rest of the bloggy world.

I chose #2 Ten Things I can do in Three Minutes. I wasn't sure if she meant all the things together in three minutes or 10 separate things so I chose the separate cause the first seems to hard.

Unload and load the dishes even though this is one of my least favorite things to do.

Wake the sleeping beast that is my son, make his breakfast and the hubs and finish Wyatt's lunch for the day.

Sort and start some laundry another not favorite

start the bath and make Wyatt wash the stinking boy smell off before bed

Change a diaper and get paid for it-no not my kid the girl I watch:)

play ring around the rosie enough times to get VERY dizzy which isn't hard BTW

make lunch for 2 kiddos and myself

feed the dog

read and comment on a couple blogs

check my emails

I also liked #1 I Use to Think....

I use to think getting older would be so fun, um yea I was wrong. It was so much funner having zero responsibilities. Bills, kids to feed, dogs to feed, car rider line, changing diapers, no money, BILLS, sick kids to take care of......

I use to think 30 was OLD now I am 30 and feel ok and only a little old

I use to think I I would grow up and marry a prince, wow I got one right

I use to think how much I would LOVE to be a mom-oh another one right I am on a roll

I use to think staying up late was the thing to do, um yea no I live for bedtime 10pm!

I use to think I would NEVER drive a mini van, then I had baby #2 and found out soon that I love my mini!

I use to think life was going so slow and I would never grow up and be on my own and be able to have fun. No it all seems to be going to fast and I am trying to have all the fun I can have and enjoy it all.

I use to think I had to go to college to be somebody, but after a few yrs of college and not finishing because life got in the way I have found even though I don't have that little piece of paper I am somebody and I don't need no stinking piece of paper to be a good mommy!

I know there is more but that's all I can get out of this brain right now

Wordful Wednesday-Ice cream time

The other day it was such a gross and rainy day, we spent the day running errands in and out of the cold rain and leaving a few stores without what we needed. So what you ask could make that day better?

Ice cream sundaes of course!





Lets just list all the yumminess:
Chocolate Ice cream
chocolate syrup
cool whip
sprinkles-that may or may not have been left over from Christmas cookies
with a cherry or two on top!
oh and they were in waffle bowls of course

Well I Thought Spring had Sprung!

So over the weekend we welcomed in spring well at least we thought we had, that was until the bottom dropped out of things and yesterday it was like 47 and today it isn't gonna be out of the 30's. WTH it was 80 the day before the big drop-Wake up and smell the buttercups Mothernature didn't you realize it is March!!

Anyways we took full advantage of the weather and got out and planted some flowers Saturday. Abby has a flower box on her playhouse and I had a couple empty pots that I had to fill up and brighten things up around here.

I let her pick out which ones she wanted and I think she did a great job. She help put the dirt in and planted the flowers.


Posing with her pretty flowers, now lets hope I can keeps hands off of them and keep them in the dirt. Someone's little hands got a little grabby the other day and plucked an entire flower out of the dirt:)


Then Monday we took a walk on the greenway to the playground where we had a picnic, it was so warm almost hot with the sun shining down. I think I even got a little pink on my arms, which is a good changed from the blazing white they currently are from lack of sun exposure-I really need to get a tan!

I am back and bigger than ever!

OMG talk about a couple of hard boring days!

I have been without my computer for a few days and it was not fun at all, hubs thought it was great-well that is till the satellite gets disconnected since I couldn't see to pay the bill!

Hubs proved his love and found me one on Craigslist-thank god for Craigslist. It was alot cheaper than one at the store and it is bigger than what I had so it looks awesome.

Now I am not sure if I will ever get caught up on my reader I think there was like 50 posts to read. So if I don't comment it doesn't mean I don't love ya it just means my head hurts from all the reading, although it is easy when it is bigger.

No, I am not dead but my computer is

So I have been MIA for a few days because my computer screen has died!! As I type this I pray it looks correct because I can only faintly see the screen. Hopefully my hubs will proove his love by finding me a replacement screen and I mean SOON!he however loves the fact that I can not sit on the computer and get my blog fix everyday.

So don't forget me I will return. now hopefully I can find my mouse pointer so I can click publish!

And wow what the difference a week makes just on Sunday we had tons of snow and by Wed it was warm and yesterday I think it was 70 and we had our first baseball practice of the season!

WW:One of those rare moments

The other day I stumbled upon one of those rare moments. Ya know, well if you have more than one kid you know, the rare moment that they are getting along so well and being quiet. No one is complaining that the other is touching them, no one is tattling on the other for being mean, no one is yelling telling the other to get out of their room, just nice and quiet getting along.

So of course I had to snap a pic of this rare moment because who knows how often they will be and I have to have proof that they do indeed love each other very much and that he is a great big brother despite all those other moments and she does really just want to be just like her big brother.

Snowed In

Friday afternoon we headed out of town, we were heading to Jackson so that Shane could run Jet (our dog) in a hunt test. It was suppose to be a nice short trip just to get us out of here and get a change of scenery, well the weather decided to take a change for the worst and the kids and I spent most of Saturday sitting in the car while Shane ran the dog thru her test and watched other dogs. Luckily for my sanity my children were on better than normal behavior and were so well behaved. They did have lots of junk food, Nintendo DS, and tv's to keep them occupied so we were lucky.

They loved staying in the hotel and lucky for us it was a pretty decent hotel considering what was in store for us.



We were set to leave Sat. evening and make the 2 1/2hr drive back home-that is til mother nature decided to have a little fun as in LOTS of snow kinda fun. Our what was suppose to be 30min drive back to where the hotel was took 1 1/2 hrs so we decided to just get a room and stay another night. The kids were super excited about all the snow falling, I was not at all excited about the amount of morons on the road around us and just knew it was only a matter of time before one of them crashed into us. In the maybe 15 mile drive we saw no fewer than 12 cars off the road.

We woke up to a winter wonderland Sunday morning, it was more snow than my kids have ever seen. The hotel had a huge front yard so we took full advantage of it and went out to play. The snow was so deep Abby was having a hard time even walking in it, it was hilarious to watch her try to take a step, then fall, then get stuck. Unfortunately we were not prepared with snow type of clothing so the play only lasted about 30 min. before the fear of frost bite forced us all to go back in.



She loved making snow angels and even got daddy in on it.


We were happy to see that the snow had made it's way to our house although not as much but it was a good snow for us and it had stuck around long enough for us to get home.

Like my little evil kenival on his four wheeler? He has learned the trick of doing donuts and can not get enough of it.


Oh and I also almost forgot to mention and my hubs would be so sad if I forgot to mention how well his little girl Jet did. She passed her hunt test and got another ribbon and is on her way to being even more special.
