How we spend our evenings

So most evening this is where we can be found

Daddy with his two girls

he wants everyone to be a ball player

After finally getting a hammock stand we are out there all the time, lounging in the shade of the tree or after the sun goes down.

Because it has been SOOO unbearably HOT here lately, evenings is the only time you can be out without getting a heat stroke. Last Friday Shane mowed the grass in the dark because it was so HOT.

Did I mention it was hot here? It is sad when they say that it is gonna be 88 and that makes us happy cause it is cool:)

Oh yea BTW 11 days til I am lounging with an ocean breeze on my face!!!

Busy Summer Days

School has been out for a little while now and we have be busy keeping busy. I have been all over the place, all four kids in tow!

Last week Wyatt had a 3 day baseball camp hosted by a local high school. He had alot of fun and said he learned alot and wants to go again next year.

On Wednesday after camp we went to a friends house to swim oh yea I took all the kids:) Wyatt has really turned into a little fish this year and was all about the pool, Abby is doing great and loved floating in the ring.

This past weekend we stayed busy with visiting some old friends and their oh so cute puppies. My son is still trying to convince me he needs one of these. I think not so much, but who wins this battle is still in the air.

We then went with some friends to a baseball game and watched some great fireworks afterwards.

Wyatt had a blast on the velcro wall before the game, it was hilarious to watch Shane throw him up and he just stick there:)

Sunday I spent some time shopping with and without my kids. Daddy took pitty on them and me and came to pick them up after a phone call from me threatening to leave them on the side of the road if they didn't shape up quickly, luckily he got there just in time! Speaking of shopping Old Navy is having a big ol daddy sale as in everything for your man is 1/2 off and I mean everything. WTH is up with them not doing this for women on Mother's day???

This week Wyatt is at nature camp every day from 9-12 he is having a blast and loving it, I am just glad to get him out of the house some more. We are planning more trips to Target, the library and the splash park next week so stayed tuned to my crazy tells of hauling 4 kids around and hopefully not loosing anyone along the way.

4th of July, Wyatt birthday part 1, and swimming

So we ended up having a fun long weekend. We thought we would have no plans for the 4th but had some friends over to eat, shoot fireworks and drink a few adult beverages. The kids rode 4 wheelers and had a great time watching the firework display put on by both daddies. Luckily they didn't blow anyone up, even though one of the fireworks shall we say malfunctioned:)

Please don't hate me but Yes I did let my 2 yr old play with sparklers and she loved it and no she didn't burn herself.

This was the only good picture I got of the fireworks because it is so hard to know when to snap.

Saturday we had family over for the first edition of Wyatt's birthday. There is still more to come.

relief was felt by many when Gram managed to find the ONLY copy of Mario Kart in Middle TN at a Target.

Sunday we went swimming and of course the kids had a great time!
Here is Wyatt practicing with his mask and snorkel for the beach. He says he will be helping in the collection of scallops in the bay, but we will see.

His awesome cannon ball off the diving board!

and of course I can't leave out Abby

Hot and Fun in the sun

Well it is official IMO that summer has fallen on TN. When it is 95 degrees outside it is summer! We have been trying to stay busy and cool during these hot days. Friday we met Liz and her little men at the Splash Pad. I was a bit of a crazy woman took a couple extra kids that did not belong to me. So if anyone is keeping count that would bring the total # of kids to 4! Wyatt and a friend from school (that would be two 6 yr olds), Abby (2 1/2) and the little girl I babysit (14mths old). It was alot of fun and the kids loved it and I looked like a supermom to those who did not know me:)

Saturday we had a 12:30 tball game and let me tell ya it was no fun at all. The temp was a nice and warm 95 and there is no shade there at the park, luckily Gram showed up with Abby's pink frilly big umbrella and we managed to get a bit of shade. The kids looked so hot and being the mommy I was worried about my little man who by the way hates to be hot. The game had a less than desirable outcome but the kids survived the heat. Now we are on to tournaments that start Thur. night so have good thoughts that it cools a bit here.

Notice the kid in the outfield behind Wyatt and the glove covering his face (click on the picture to make it bigger)! Too bad he wasn't playing the infield:)

Saturday night we went to a long time (like forever) friend of Shane's house. It was his daughter's birthday party. It was fun catching up, we don't see them much since gas costs like $4000 and they live about 45 min. away. The kids had fun especially Abby when she saw that the bday girl got a Barbie Jeep.

Here are the girls trying to find something good on the radio-Yes there was a real radio in it

Abby wouldn't take off the princess shoes that the bday girl got (BTW they were from us she was lucky to get them)

Lounging with daddy trying to cool off

Oh yea and it is also official Abby's has begun the Cheese face. I have a hard time getting a real smile from her.
