Schools Out for Summer!

Please tell me someone else just sang that title in their heads just like I did when I typed it:)

Anyways as the title says it is officially summer break! Wyatt had his last day of school on Wednesday and we went to pick his report card up today, and much to my dismay it stated that he had been promoted to the 4th grade! No I am not sad he passed his 3rd grade year (really with straight A's we had no fear) but what I am having a hard time with is OMG he is a 4th grader which means only 2 more years of elementary school and then I will have a middle schooler! How did this happen? How has my baby boy grown so fast? He has done so well in school and made awesome friends this year I can't wait to see what the upcoming school year holds for him. I do know that I hope he gets one of the two teachers I want, one is his former 2nd grade teacher and the other is a friend of ours. I told Wyatt they may end up fighting over him :)

They handed out school awards last week and Wyatt received 3 awards! One for zero behavior marks (infact he has gone all 4yr k-3rd with never receiving one); one for principles list (all A's all year long); and one for Most Outstanding Boy in his class!

Also with the end of the school year it means another hard to think of topic. Kindergarten! as in Abby is officially a Kindergartener! I signed her up the other day during early registration now I am faced with OMG both of my kids will be in school next year! She is beside herself with excitement, I am nervous. Mainly cause as I mentioned before Wyatt has made a very hard to live up to reputation for her to follow in. I am afraid I may have to do some serious sucking up to the teacher at the start of the year to get her to immediately fall for Abby so that she will forgive her for everything she may put her through during the school year:)

The cutest cheerleader in the stands!

A couple weekends ago Wyatt had another tournament and I finally got Abby's shirt done so she could show her support of big brother. I got his team name embroidered on the front

then I added his uniform number to the back with some numbers cut from fabric.

and then you have the makings of one super cute cheerleader!

We are on the home stretch of for her baseball season with only one regular game left then tournaments. Then we will have a bit of a break and only have to juggle one baseball season, the two of them playing is a bit crazy at times, we have practice basically every night of the week and if he plays on the weekend it can mean on Saturdays we have one game for her one place and two games for him at another place then at least one game on Sunday also.

So basically no sleeping in on the weekends and thats no fun for anyone!

He really is this cute!

I just couldn't resist sharing this video of Tuck. He is just so dang cute and funny, which means it makes it easier to forgive him when he is being bad & chewing on things or piddling in my floor cause he is so excited to see someone.

May 6th

May 6, 2000 I started the day as a Ms. but I ended it as a Mrs. It's been a great 11 years!

I was very young when I met him and I hope to one day be very old with him.

My sweet little girl gave us our presents a day early after a trip out with her Gram yesterday

She was so sad when I opened the cake yesterday and she saw it had slid while she was holding it in the car.

She hid these flowers outside til Daddy got home from work and then gave them and the card to both of us. She was all proud of herself.

She's our little artist :)

Easter and Gymnastics

So it was Easter last week but I never got around to posting pictures, but I am determined to get this place updated to be sure to check by more this week I have lots going on around here.

Like I said it was Easter and the bunny managed to make a stop at my house. He left lots of goodies and candy. Abby got some new ear rings and she couldn't wait to change them out and show them off.

they are hard to see here but they are little hoops with pretty pink flowers on them:) She got a few other pairs and we have had to change them again she would change them everyday into a new pair if I would let her:)

We headed to Shane's mom for lunch and I managed to get the kids to pose for a picture together which I might add is getting harder and harder in my experience I have found 8 year old boys HATE to pose for a picture.

5yr old little girls not as much :)

Last week Abby had a great night at gymnastics that resulted in a promotion! At her gym they have a reward system for the kids if they accomplish some task for the first time alone they get to ring a big bell and receive a medal for a job well done. Well Abby got her first pullover on the bar with zero help from her coach! She was so excited to get to ring the bell and get her medal. Daddy managed to miss it by just minutes he was coming from Wyatt's baseball lessons and walked in just after it happened.
I of course forgot to snap a pic at the gym but got one at home.

After class was over her coach asked us into the office and then went on to invite Abby into the Mighty Mights which is a step up from the starter class and a class that you have to be invited into, this was a huge surprise to us since she has only been doing it since February! She is so excited to get to learn even more things but a little nervous to leave the little girls and coach she knew. So who knows you may be looking at one of the 2024 summer Olympians :)
