How could I say No

So Shane informs me yesterday that he has this new idea. This idea just happens to include a new puppy YES you heard me correct I said another dog!! Anyone keeping count? That would now be 2 big outside dogs, 1 dog that has to live inside, 2 outside cats and now a puppy!!

But she does come from good lines and we do hope to someday start breeding and having puppies again. I have been joking and telling Shane she is famous by association since the guy he got her from works for a pretty famous country music couple.

Then he comes home with her today and seriously how could I say no. So far I am not regretting this decision but we haven't gone to bed yet!

You have to start them early:)

She is pretty cute

She does love the water already; I guess this is a good thing

Oh yea BTW she has no name! and if you haven't figured it out yet she is a Black Labrador

The rest of Wyatt's birthday

Well since we left for the beach the day after his big day I never got to post pics from his birthday baseball game and the morning's great breakfast and presents.

Here he is with one of his Wii games-he is so spoiled:)

And when you turn 6 you get to pick you breakfast and he chose whip cream on his pancakes!

We sang Happy Birthday and he blew out the candle

Since his bday was the day before the beach we didn't do a big party we just took him and a couple of friends to a Sounds baseball game. They all had a great time I can really see when he is with other boys how he has changed so much.

He really wanted me to stop taking his picture

A couple of videos from the beach

Here is one of Wyatt boogie boarding on the first day, as you can see the waves were just right for some good boogie boarding.

After we had rough seas on Monday and Tuesday it turned so calm and so clear it was awesome. Abby had no fear at all and even put on her floaties and "swam" in the ocean. No bashing on the floaties yes she wears them Wyatt did also and he is a good swimmer now.

Family picture time

Every year since we have been going to the beach we have been taking family pictures there and this year was no exception. We had to snap tons to get some really good ones. You know the drill-fake smiles, refusal to look at the camera and so on and so forth.

I have gone thru them and these are the favorites out of the bunch.

Father and son

Mother and daughter

Such a daddy's girl

And last but certainly not least, my favorite one of all.

This is how they felt after I made them pose for all those pictures!

A few more....

Here are a few more pics from last week (you can click to make them bigger)

Abigail was sporting a different bathing suit everyday last week!

Here are a few of me and my favorite man. Gotta love the purple beach bucket/ice bucket-some times you gotta improvise

Some of the family

This is gonna take a while

I just uploaded my pics to the computer from the camera and get this, are you ready for it? There were 470 pics!! OMG a little overboard ya think. Of course I have to go thru and weed out the bad ones ya know eyes closed, too much of me in a bathing suit, etc.

So bare with me, but trust me I will be sharing lots and lots from the trip so much you will be over it.

here is a little preview...

Our view from ONE of the balconies that's right there were 3!

We had an elevator in the house! Shane used it every time, the kids fought over who could push the buttons, and I was afraid it would break and we would be stuck in it! I tried to climb the steps as much as possible (this was my exercise).

Our wonderful sandcastle

A girl in her tutu at the beach

Ok so most of you have known that since I made Abby's tutu I have been waiting to get her to the beach so that I could snap some pictures.

Tonight the men went out on a bow-fishing trip so we dressed her up and took avantage of a beautiful sunset.

I snapped about 50 to get a few good ones. Here are a couple of my favorites

Hello from the Cape

Well we made in Sunday night in the rain. The last two days have been wonderful. Lots of time spent on the beach. Wyatt is having a blast on the boogie board and Abby is showing no fear of the ocean at all. We have eaten wonderful food at our favorite spots the last two nights. I may or may not come home!

Happy Birthday to my little man

Even before Shane and I married we knew we wanted kids. So soon after getting married we decided we were ready, unfortunately someone bigger had another plan for us. Many months of trying and waiting went by before we decided maybe it just wasn't the right time. I quit my job and took a new one closer to home & told my new boss kids where not in the definite near future. Little did we know!

Skip ahead about a month. One evening after work I take a test and we both freak out when it comes back positive. OMG what am I gonna do I just took a new job, I don't have any insurance OMG I thought we had put this on the back burner for later! I call a friend kinda freak out to her but at the same time I am SO excited I can hardly contain myself. I then proceed to take 2 more, which are also obviously positive.

My pregnancy was off to a great start til about 8wks when the terrible not morning but all day sickness began. Smells made me gag and god forbid I get hungry. I continued to work the boss shook off the shock of having a brand new pregnant employee and thankfully we got that whole me with no insurance thing worked out!

The first time we heard the heartbeat was the most amazing sound I had ever heard. On March 2 we got to see him for the first time. OMG talk about realization that you are about to be parents. But it was so great and of course we got to find out what we were having.

I sailed right through the last half and on July 11th went in for my normal check up. He was due 4 days later & I left hoping I didn't make it that long. Sure enough that next morning at 2am I woke up to some pains, eventually I woke Shane & told him I thought I was in labor. We make it to the hospital and hrs later the MOST amazing little guy is born. I can't describe the feeling when I heard his cry for the first time.

WOW how the next years FLY by. I can't believe this all happened 6 yrs ago. Over these last years so many thing have happened. He became one of the best big brothers ever, started to play sports, started school and has grown into a little man.

I thank God all the time for blessing me with 2 wonderful healthy children and can not wait to see what the future holds for this little guy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY

"Before you were conceived
I wanted you
Before you were born
I loved you
Before you were here for an hour
I would die for you
This is the miracle of life."

Make sure to turn up your volume

Ok so I lied in the last post:)

So when I mentioned having never been tagged before that was a slight mess up on my part! I had actually been asked by Liz to do a post similar to the one she had done with some baby pics of her kiddos in regards to who they look like. Sorry for that one she knows that I love her and didn't totally ignore her request on purpose:)

I had actually worked on this but then it got filed away amongst the thousands of pictures in my computer and I kinda forgot to finish it. So here is the best I could find. I don't have a ton of our baby pics here. So what do you think, can we claim these kids as our own?

If you could see some of the pictures I have seen of Shane as a kid it is pretty crazy how much Wyatt looks like his daddy, we refer to him as "mini Shane."

Pink tutu, Pink heels and a Pink fishing pole

What could be better for a princess in the making.

Gram brought Abby the high heels and Pa decided she needed a pink princess fishing pole. Abby loved both and had to immediately put them to use!

Trying out the new pole, in her high heels no less.

I wouldn't mess with this "Little Evil"

4th of July, Wyatt birthday part 1, and swimming

So we ended up having a fun long weekend. We thought we would have no plans for the 4th but had some friends over to eat, shoot fireworks and drink a few adult beverages. The kids rode 4 wheelers and had a great time watching the firework display put on by both daddies. Luckily they didn't blow anyone up, even though one of the fireworks shall we say malfunctioned:)

Please don't hate me but Yes I did let my 2 yr old play with sparklers and she loved it and no she didn't burn herself.

This was the only good picture I got of the fireworks because it is so hard to know when to snap.

Saturday we had family over for the first edition of Wyatt's birthday. There is still more to come.

relief was felt by many when Gram managed to find the ONLY copy of Mario Kart in Middle TN at a Target.

Sunday we went swimming and of course the kids had a great time!
Here is Wyatt practicing with his mask and snorkel for the beach. He says he will be helping in the collection of scallops in the bay, but we will see.

His awesome cannon ball off the diving board!

and of course I can't leave out Abby

Another pie soon to follow

So tonight we went back over to the tree line and picked even more blackberries, the kids really like to try to find the ripe ones hidden deep in the not ripe ones:)

We have gotten so many and there are still tons to get. So I will be making another pie on Saturday with these (well not all of them there is alot in this bowl)

So here is the Yummy recipe I used for the blueberries the other day and I may try it with these.

Creamy Blueberry Pie
3 c fresh berries
pie shell
1 c sugar (I think I used a tiny bit less)
1/3 c flour
1/8 t salt
2 eggs beaten
1/2 c sour cream
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c flour
1/4 c real butter

place pie shell in 9 inch pie plate, place berries into shell. Mix together 1c sugar, 1/3 c flour & salt. Add eggs and sour cream stir till creamy. Spoon mixture over berries. In another bowl combine 1/2 c sugar, 1/2 c flour and cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over pie. Bake 350 for 50-55 min or until browned.

Hubs said this was the best pie he had tasted and that is alot coming from him. I usually get a "yea it's good" kinda response.

Just because I love him so

The other day I decided to give hubs a "happy just because we love you gift" I had gotten an idea after posting that favorite pic of mine of hubs and the kiddos on the beach. So I did a little work on it and got it printed and framed it. He loved it when he saw it and had a little bit of a hard time reading it, he even took it to work to put on his desk. You may need to click it to read the poem.

Some fun and randomness

Today we spent a fun day with Gram (Shane's mom) we went to lunch, the children's museum and then to feed the ducks at Centennial Park.

Standing on the Moon

This was a crazy squirrel that just wanted some bread

Oh and we picked some more blueberries and as promised I made that pie:) It was so yummy it made Shane want to cry since he couldn't and wouldn't eat it (well he took one bite) seriously I can't believe the will power he has, even the thought of having to be seen in a swim suit in less than 2 wks at the beach didn't stop me; it was SOO Yummo.

BTW don't you love the half eaten pie? No I did not eat it all myself I shared with my neighbor and the kiddos.

We also discovered wild blackberries growing in the field tree line near our yard and have been a picking away while trying to not been seen so we don't have to share! Well that is not totally true I shared some with my neighbor but I like her:) remember I shared my pie with her.
